This camp is for physically fit kids 8 - 16yo seeking the opportunity of exploring the sport and regular training process of competitive sprint flatwater paddling. Participants will paddle in a variety of canoes and kayaks, while spending significant amount in our sprint racing canoes and kayaks. The kids will have the opportunity to learn the basics of flat water canoe and kayak racing, as well as sprint paddling traning. The kids will also do good amount of conditioning - Running, Swimming and "age-properly-set up" Weight training The kids will get a chance to race at the club regatta in single and team boats at the end of the week. After successfully finishing this camp, the kids will be offered the spot in KCKC Competitive team and will be invited to sprint flatwater paddling competitions - "regattas".
